Telangana classic movies to be screened at TS

On the eve of Telangana State Formation Day celebrations, The State Art Gallery would be conducting a week-long “Salam Telangana Programme” to be held from June 2 to 7. According to the State Art Gallery Director D Manohar, they would be screening classic Telangana movies which depicted the history and culture, besides organising a photo exhibition, at Hyderabad.

On the occasion, movies of legendary filmmakers like Shyam Benegal  and B Narsing Rao, along with filmmaker Allani Sridhar “Komaram Bheem”, N  Shankar’s ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’, Rasamai Balakishan’s ‘Jai Telangana’ would enthrall visitors. 

It will also host a photo exhibition of famous photographer  Bharat Bhushan  besides holding a painting competition at Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute from June  3 to 5.  The State government has announced Rs 20,000 cash prize for best short film and Rs 10,000 for best photographer, Manohar added.
