Flipkart has chosen Telangana State to set up its largest warehouse in India

India’s largest e-commerce company headquartered in Bangalore is going to set up its largest and 16th warehouse of the country in Hyderabad of Telangana.

Flipkart is opening the fulfillment centre in Hyderabad, which is spread over 2.2 lakh sq ft. After it becomes fully operational, this centre is expected to ship out 1.2 lakh items every day. This particular centre is expected to create 2,000 jobs directly and about 12,000 jobs indirectly. This centre will have fully automated segregators, quality profilers and conveyor belts for sorting inventory.

Due to the lack of clarity on the taxation issues in the e-commerce business in Karnataka, Flipkart has chosen Telangana over Karnataka to set up its largest warehouse in India.

Flipkart was founded in 2007 by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal, which employs more than 33000 people at present. Flipkart allows payment methods such as cash on delivery, net banking, credit or debit card transactions, e-gift voucher and card swipe on delivery.
