Digital Telangana starting from July 1

HYDERABAD: Coinciding with the Centre's 'Digital India', the TRS government has announced a week-long Digital Telangana', starting from July 1.

The 'Digital Telangana' week that is to be observed across the state will include events of launching biometric attendance system in Warangal, wifi service at Telangana University in Nizamabad, and new e-services in the endowments and agriculture departments. According to a release, the Digital Telangana would focus on two pivots representing supply and demand.

The supply side strategy focuses on ensuring digital infrastructure including OFC connectivity, availability of 4G service, wi-fi in major cities and implementation of e-panchayat scheme. The demand side plans include promoting digital literacy, expansion of Mee-seva services on mobile platform, and identifying technology solutions for government agencies.
