Warangal: TS Assembly Speaker Sirikonda Madhusudhana Chary on Wednesday appeared before the Railway court in Kazipet. He was summoned in a case filed against him for participation in a rail roko agitation at Dharmaram gate during the separate Telangana agitation in 2013.
The case was adjourned to August 22. Speaking to the media after emerging from the court, Mr Chary said he was proud that he was facing a case for fighting for Telangana.
“No one is above the law, that is why I attended court today. Though the state government lifted all cases filed during the Telangana agitation, the Central government is yet to lift them,” the Speaker said.
